And so they thought that it was only a black man getting the chance at the highest post of the land, it was already long time ago cavorted by the Pinoy’s in the US. From kitchen, to drapes, and up to the security (though it was a rather bad experience) that a Filipino was able to be a crucial part of the Powers-that-Be on a day to day situation. If not for the Pinoys in the Presidential Mansion things would have been different, especially the menu of the Presidents.

Between caring and loving
What could be the two most important feeling expressed by one person to another is care and love. In many situations the two comes together in perfect harmony. However, there are times when one precedes the other making the one inappropriate when one is ahead of the other. When someone cares it usually stay on just caring for the other person and in the case of loving the person beyond the typical romance the feeling gets too exhilarated to even remember to care.
Why do we hurt the most the one we love the most? It is because we forget to care, that simply because we love we also need to take away the pain, the hurting, the worry, and so much more, from the person we love. Sadly, instead of doing so we oftentimes even highlight what is already painful and lose giving care and taking away pain from the person we really do love the most.
How sweet it is if everyone who loves cares for the person even more.

Coke ad message could send good or bad signal
While the ad was presented artistically, it was made to send the family status message subtly depicting an almost vague meaning, subject to various interpretation. Despite the confusing message however, one thing clear is the value of the family together or apart. To interpret the message as separation or mere physical absence for some time throws one back into the “going -back-to-home” situation or dilemma where the end will still be going home.

Broken Family – the Christmas Message of Coke?
The Christmas Coca Cola ad on TV hit smack on the heart of the Filipino bannering the Filipino family values. However, instead of espousing the traditional values, the Coke ad shows what could be the demise of that family value of fostering a single unit family. The ad is suggesting, although not direct, on the separation of the couples through the script, the husband’s words “iba na ang sitwasyon”(different situation) and the wife’s response “wala namang nagbago” (nothing really has changed) clearly suggests their separated.
Why the ad on being separated? Despite the probable intention from Coke to inject family reunion as the main message the suggestion of the couple being separated may instead send negative thoughts on devaluing or relegating the family union. What comes out of the ads is popular or in another sense what comes out of the ads becomes popular. Is this the thought that Coca Cola manufacturers want to impart this Christmas and till the New Year’s Day?

I love this country!
Senator Trillanes early this morning led an armed ousting of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo after alighting from the Makati Regional Trial Court where they took part in the hearing of former Senator Gringo Honasan who was being tried for rebellion. His group together with political supporters including bishops and clergymen addressed a press conference after breaking down glass entrances of the Manila Peninsula where hotel staff became busy with valet services for the incoming generals jumping to their side.
Meanwhile, San Miguel Corporation is praying for clear night skies with stars as they set tents along Emerald Avenue, currently billed as F. Ortigas Jr. to celebrate Andres Bonifacio’s birthday bash with a hard rocking, draft beer sucking, pork chop skewing Oktoberfest. It would be a success if Ortigas office workers, with their newly replenished wallets from today’s payday fiesta would walk into their street party and have a great time with the whole barkada.
In fact, Lucia Lupita Laloo Lala, a tenured call center agent in one of the outsourcing rows of Ortigas will be so excited to finish the day so that she can start boiling down from shabu which has kept her up and about in work for the past five days. As she alights from her Ortigas building, clad Bon Jovi in her iPod, she will take the first cab out of Metro Manila and sleep for two days inside the nearest motel in peace and quiet.
