Last night on my way home in a jeepney ride there was a sweet couple holding hands and whispering to each others ears since the loud road noise made their exchange barely audible to each other. Passing along an area crowded by folks on the side walk show an array of flowers of various kinds and colors. The guy called her attention to it gesturing which among the flowers would she want to have for, I guessed, Valentines Day. She remarked instead in an audible tone that anyone in the jeep can hear that she would rather have chocolates instead of roses. She was firm on her preference as she followed it up with “something sweet to the taste than having something just to show off on V-day”. I guessed again that it would be the loving heart that she was referring to for that something sweet. Something sweet is something that touch the heart more than anything else. A superb Valentines Day treat.
