A decade ago it was the GenXs that are making the headlines, then turnover to the next generation after a decade, the GenXs are in the government and in businesses, and what not. Give it another 10 years and the GenX would be at the forefront of criticizing the next GenX or what have you, GenY or GenXY?

Presidential sister, controversial movie star

I believe that Kris Aquino is much more intelligent than what she shows off on the camera as a showbiz personality, a very popular showbiz star at that, but now that her brother Noynoy is the highest official of the land she should better think twice in showing off that Kris the movie star character elsewhere, I just hope that she don’t let it get into her head as she had this status before with her Mom, President Cory. Kris should know far better regarding her proper decorum this days.

The BAD SIDE of Manny Pacquiao fights

Saw a bloody street fight of youngsters this afternoon in front of SM Southmall in Las Piñas City. The fistfight was between some students of a computer school nearby and some street kids claiming to be just vending ball caps on the sidewalk. Regardless of who’s fault it was or who started the fight takes no account of the situation, it was the crowd which made me wonder. Everyone was cheering the fight. The crowd was carefree of the hurt that each of the youngsters would impart on each other. In seconds and the street kid is pinned down by the schoolkid down with his back flat on the rough concrete pavement. Helpless, the street kid just received the heavy blows. Everybody was seemed to be cheering who’s suppose to be the victor in the fight. It seems they were cheering Pacquiao. I may not be a boxing fan much more a Pacquiao fan but the bad side of it I would say is the crowd being mesmerized with such fighting scenes they forget about the realities of life. They forgot that the two kids could get badly hurt fighting without the safety gears (like in professional boxing bout) and be permanently injured for the rest of their life. One thing for sure they didn’t get any reward for it unlike Pacquiao. Worse, the crowd was treated to a free ‘wild card’ round for a moment of free pleasure. Was it really a fight worth fighting for? Should I be proud that everyone, and probably even the two kids in the fight, felt it was a Manny Pacquiao round in the flesh?

Youth vote…?

Youth vote?

Are the youth of today ready for this historic election?

Don’t have to discuss in detail this picture post of a screen shot of a blog post regarding the disqualification of Acosta (KBL) from the Presidential race. The comments (obviously of a youngster) are disheartening regardless of who they are for the thought that comes to their mind is a disappointment. The blog world would have been a excellent venue for very productive discussion, but this set of exchanges is not what a rationale mind would have thought of. This is the youth voter on the blog spot.

Desensitized Pinoys…

Caught a debate last night about the upcoming election… better yet, the upcoming President of the Philippines come May elections. As expected, it was a heated debate of who’s who on the arena, behind e

Trapo lamang

top contenders for the top post of the land

very San Miguel Light and San Miguel Pale Pilsen is a contender on each ones Presidential bet. Nobody, nobody caught my attention (with the same old run story from same sorties) except for those around the beer table which would rather gulp their share of ice cold beer than waste the cooling sensation of it with the waste of talk. Was it really a waste of talk to talk about the coming Presidential Election?

What can one contribute to the victory of democracy, development, national pride, etc. with a vote that you can never tell if it will really count?
Not only cheating will make that single vote useless or worth a cent if the winner would be anyone from the slate, not even Noy-Noy is a clear promise of a better tomorrow. He still belongs to a clan of corrupt strongholds which he can never do without. Even if Winnie Monsod (Mare) believes that he is the cleaner bet is no guarantee that he will make a difference.

Going back to the ice cold bottle of beer that provides us a soothing feeling that is almost heaven in this El Niño environment, who among the May 11 Don Quixotes would the ordinary Pinoy bet his/her future on? Don Quixote is the best bet among the copy cuts, who has nothing but promises still. I bet the other crowd around the debating beermen are just too desensitized by the story of Don Quixote that they would rather drink their ice cold beer that let the refreshing chance go to waste.

In defense of Vice Ganda,… a woman

This is from a female point of view. I do understand that Vice notices the sexy goodlooking young men in showtime.. but arent we all like to see beautiful creatures? And Vice has the tact and art of cracking it in a very hilarious form which im sure the audience loves. Considering the fact that he is gay doesnt make it sound foul. If u realized the showtime is the most watched noontime show now. As evidenced to the number of people watching the show . However, I also witnessed the fact that he makes a fair and just comments to those contestants.. he even shares a good and inspiring comments to the children..

Vice Ganda underfire

minors in our country are not ignorant to the population of gays as they are not ignorant on their gender preferences and their actions. We should stop saying that this minors should be protected of the so called cliche “wag kang magsalita ng ganyan kasi minors pa yan”.. we have gone through those and let us open our eyes, instead, let them be aware of the real world.. and prepare them so that by then they will be protected and thus they can protect themselves .

sharing and commenting funny statements on the show is just an icing to the cake..at the end of it, he always justify it with grace and intelligence!! cheers to you vice!! keep it up!!!

Vice Ganda has really turned out to be a ‘vice’ in SHOWTIME

I had to say this and I wish that it gets published. Everyone with even just a little concern for the children should agree that Vice Ganda has really turned out to be a ‘vice’ in SHOWTIME. Vice Ganda has turned a noontime GP (General Patronage) talent show into a Male Pa

Vice Ganda

Great stand up comedian

geant. At times he has turned the wholesome show into what seems to be an UNCLAD MALE STRIP SHOW. By way of giving out his comments on the performing groups, using his creative “Joke lang” style to try to put some wholesome touch to what is really a ‘gay seduction’ scheme, in blatant explicit words, he pegs material items like cellphone and expensive rubber shoes (sneakers) to gorgeous young men (usually minors below 18). It has been this way since the start of the show. What is alarming is that it’s getting worse. The “style” by which Vice Ganda had made almost all of his comments (as judge of a talent show) is patronizing handsome young men with buff bodies to be in the performance regardless of a good performing talent. As he always quipped “kahit nakatayo ka na lang dyan” (even if you just have to stand there) during the performance he will grant the group the highest score of 10. To this day, all group efforts to do a great performance has to put in a GORGEOUS YOUNG HUNK GUY in their show to please the “head” of the jury, and that guy don’t even have to be a good stage performer (aside from a gay show) in that sense. I am not against the gay thing for I am even for gay respect and liberty, more so I love Vice Ganda perform at his own shows as a gay stand up comedian but his way of judging a mostly youth dominated talent show at noontime on national television is something not very appropriate. All I could suggest to the ABS-CBN Executive Officers and Management that Vice Ganda be requested to tone down or better yet avoid such Male patronizing comments. Otherwise, have him beside Anne Curtis as host instead. I do hope that the ABS-CBN executives gets this message first before MTRCB does.

What to write usually gets tangled with what others want to read…

The danger of not getting the right things to write about is doomsday for any writer as they say. But in this information superhighway era you don’t have much option of considering what others wanted to read, you just do it as Nike says.
It’s a lost option of thinking for others in this generation. All that you have to do today is just do, worse, you just do without even thinking about it, without contemplating on it first and set foot a good reason why you have to do it in the first place. For whatever reason, it could have been better if you did something on purpose, that you have something in your mind, at the least, at the end of that event that you did. Now, I am trying to experience that “just do it” phenomenon in me, wherever this takes me is anybody’s guess. My guess is no better than anyone else’s.
